"A Twist Of Love"

Hello Everyone! The NEW challenge will be posted over at the Forever Night Challenge Blog! Jamie is having some troubles with her Internet, so once that is resolved, you will find the challenge! So that you can get started on the challenge... It is "Anything Altered"! As you know, I have been really concentrating on altering items, so today I have another "Altered Canvas Tile" for you! I am really having fun with this whole process. I will walk you through step by step on what I have done with this one (4 X 4).

Here is what it looks like finished.

I started out with this white 4 X 4 canvas tile.

I painted twice with Black Acrylic Paint.

Then I mixed (all by myself) these wonderful colors and painted it once, using a very generous coat of each of the colors. (Acrylic Paint)

Once it was good and dry, I Dry Brushed some Black Acrylic Paint over it to grunge it up.

Now was the fun part (which I am getting really good at), I added a layer of Modge Podge and quickly added my cut out images; making sure that they were all pressed out completely flat. Then I added another generous layer of Modge Podge over the top of the whole tile. I let that sit and dry completely for two days. Then added one more layer of Modge Podge for good measure to make sure it was sealed completely. Since the Modge Podge left a tacky feel, I sprayed the tile with Krylon UV-Resistant Clear Acrylic Coating. Now it is completely sealed and not tacky at all!

After the tile dried for another day. I added a piece of black card stock over the back and used Wonder Tape to adhere it to the tile. I then cut several strips of Magnetic Tape and added them, they already had a sticky back. (Yay!)

I used my MFT Die-namics Rolled Rose Dies to make some flowers. After they were rolled and glued, I sprayed them with Shimmer Mist Spray by Tsukineko. Once they were dry, I adhered them to the tile using Inkssentials Glossy Accents! That stuff really works and a little goes a long way! I love the fact that it dries clear and that it's a staple in my craft arsenal!

"The Tell-Tale Heart"

Good Afternoon Everyone! How is your weekend going? Mine is pretty good, it's raining; but can't complain to much! Soon the snow will come and then the cold, so will be satisfied for right now! Today I have a picture 8 X 10 to share with you. I know it is not in a frame; I thought I had one more black one in that size, but nope I don't. So it will wait on getting framed! LOL!!! This picture is for the Smudgy Antics Challenge... POE ME! Blackdragon has created some of her beautiful creations as the prize... they are awesome, so I just knew I needed to get a creation finished and in for a chance at winning them!!! Be sure to check the NEW RULES that are on the Smudgy Antics Blog about entering. I am running a bit behind as the challenge will be closing at 2pm CST. So I need to get my butt in gear to make the deadline! Please be sure to check it out on Monday morning for the NEW challenge for the week! Okay on with my creation...

Since you are not able to read the passages that I have used I will go ahead and list them here...
