"Brewing Up Some Fun"

Good Morning Everyone! Are you ready for the weekend? I really am, as I will be working on some upcoming projects! Today is Day 2 of the Simply B Stamps NEW  Release "Beyond Wickidz"! These images are perfect for the Beyond The Burtonesque Dolls Challenge Blog! I am sharing my first ever mixed media canvas tile. Today is filled with lots of firsts for me; first Release by Simply B Stamps, first set of DT projects, and first mixed media canvas tile! I have turned it into a refrigerator magnet! I am really beginning to push the limits of my comfort zone, it is an amazing feeling! The image that I am sharing with you today is "Winnie"! Doesn't she look wicked as she creates her potions? I sure think so! All six images and sentiment set will be available in the Simply B Stamps Online Store today! These will only be available in DIGI form; so many of you will LOVE that! Be sure to hop on over to the Beyond The Burtonesque Dolls Challenge Blog to see what all of the Design Teams Creations!

This is the canvas tile that I started out with! (4X4)

I added two layers of acrylic black paint.

Then I used acrylic silver paint to stamp the spider webs (Stamp by Studio G) and the sentiments (Stamp by A Muse Artstamps)! (The sentiments are a bit hard to read in my photo, but it says "Brewing Up Some Fun"!)

After that dried completely I added a layer of Modge Podge Gloss Finish, then quickly added my image... making sure that it was completely flat and set into the Modge Podge Gloss Finish and added one more thick layer of Modge Podge Gloss Finish. Let that dry completely adding one more layer on top to be sure that my image was completely secured. After that layer dried... I sprayed it with Krylon UV-Resistant Clear Acrylic Coating to make the tacky feel disappear.

Once it was completely dry and it set for a full day, I went to work on the back of tile. Using Scor Pal Tape 1/4" I adhered my Basic Black Card Stock from Stampin' Up to it. Then I got some magnet stripes from my stash and added them to the back.

Now this wicked cutie is hanging on my refrigerator! I think for a first time project it turned out pretty cool; but let me know what you think?

I will be entering this canvas tile magnet into the following different challenges...
As always thanks for stopping by, if you have any questions or comments feel free to leave me a message!
Have a wicked weekend!
