"I Give You My Heart On A String"

Welcome To The Second Forever Night Wicked Blog Hop! I hope you have been enjoying all of the wonderful creations so far! Just a little reminder... be sure to leave a comment on all of the blog as we have some awesome prizes that will be given away and they will be picked randomly from the different blogs! I am sure you don't want to miss out on a chance to win! You should have just hopped over from the ever talented Jane's Blog! If you just happened to find yourself here at my blog, be sure to start from the beginning at our fearless leader Jamie's Blog

Below you will see my project! I will also be showing you step by step how it was created! The is my second ever canvas tile project! I think it turned out really good; what do you think?

I started out with this white 5 X 7 Canvas Tile.

I added two layers of Black Acrylic Paint and let it dry.

Then I used the Smeared Ink Rubber Set ~ Inky Dreams and stamped some of the awesome splotches all over the canvas with Red Acrylic Paint. Let it dry.

Now came the fun part... I added one layer of Modge Podge Gloss Finish and laid down my colored digi image by Smeared Ink ~ Hanging Heart while it was still wet. (I colored it with Prismacolor Colored Pencil Numbers... 997, 1085, 932, 1008, 935, 949, 923, 924, & 925. Then I added some Inspirations Paint in Fairy Dust and Coal to the finger nails, blood drips, and the string. After that dried I added Aleene's Paper Glaze to it. Once it was completely dry I fussy cut it out with my exacto knife.) Once I had it all laid down flat, I quickly added another thick layer of Modge Podge Gloss Finish to it. I let that dry over night. Then I added some Creative Memories Letter Stickers to spell out "I Give You My Heart On A String". Now I added the final layer of Modge Podge Gloss Finish. After it dried for two days, it felt a bit tacky yet. So I sprayed it with Krylon UV-Resistant Clear Acrylic Coating to completely seal it... no more tackiness!
Now came getting the hanger on it. I used Jewelry Wire, Split Rings, & Wire Crimps out of my stash. I put the wire all together and added it to the back of my canvas tile using Glossy Accents to hold it in place. Then I added the card stock back with Red Wonder Tape to be sure that everything was put together well. It is still hanging and looking great for 2 weeks now!

Below is a close up of the canvas tile.

Below is a picture of the back of the canvas tile.

And one more look at it from an angle.

I am very happy with how this turned out! It was a long process; but I will be making more of these in the future!

Since you made it through my step by step instructions, I will send you on your way to the talented Bridget's Blog! I am including the whole hopping list below in case you get lost!

I will be entering this creation into the following challenges...
Thanks for stopping by, if you have any questions or comments feel free to leave me a message!

It's a long time since I stamped with acrylic paint. I should really take out the paints because I love how the stains came out.
